Response to global IT outage
Response to IT outage (updated 22 July)
Following a global IT outage on Friday 19 July which affected some NHS services, systems are now back online. If you have a booked appointment this week, please continue to attend unless told not to.
We ask residents to please bear with our local GP practices this week as many of them continue to recover and catch up on the backlog caused by the disruption.
If you have an urgent medical concern, please don’t hesitate to contact your GP practice. For routine or non-urgent requests, we appreciate your patience as practice services return to normal. You can also use your local pharmacy, NHS 111 online or call 111 for urgent health advice.

19 July 2024:
National IT issue affecting many GP practices, pharmacies and some other NHS services across the country
We are aware of a national IT issue affecting many GP practices, pharmacies and some other NHS services across the country.
Some practices in Surrey are affected, and we are working with the surgery teams to resume full services soon as possible. If you have a booked appointment, please continue to attend as normal, unless you are directly contacted by your surgery.
If you have an urgent healthcare need that is not an emergency, please contact NHS 111 online in the first instance: 111.nhs.uk or dial 111.
Most other NHS services are operating normally but it may be advisable to check individual websites before setting out. Unless you hear otherwise, please attend all booked appointments as usual.
