Work experience

Work experience offers an excellent opportunity to see what it is like to work in health and social care.

You can gain work experience in clinical and non-clinical areas. It can help you find out more about the skills you might need to work in health and social care. It can give you help you to start your career or take your next steps.

It can also be a valuable way of getting some confidence and experience of working in a team and caring for people.

You can complete short or long-term placements that are either full or part time. Your placement can be formal and structured or it can be informal. Whatever you choose to do, it can help you choose the right career.
